🍂It's feeling like fall around here! Mark your calendars - picture retakes are on Thursday!
🧋Due to some recent incident/issues with beverages, we're asking that your child only come in to school with a beverage in a screw top container. Beverages from coffee shops or even cans have been creating an issue. Outside of what is offered/eaten in the cafeteria, if your child comes in with one of these beverages, we'll have to ask them to throw it away. Thank you for working with us on this!
🗪You should have received an email from the District about signing up for conferences. If you missed it, here it is:
Dear WRSD Families,
Parent-Teacher Conference scheduling will be managed through PTC Wizard this year. Conference registration will open for all families on Tuesday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m.
Important: You will need your child’s Student ID Number (provided below) to register and schedule conferences.
Name: [STUDENT_FNAME]
Student ID: [STUDENT_ID]
Directions for Scheduling:
- You will first need to create an account by going HERE.
- PTC Wizard offers Single-Sign-On for Google and Microsoft accounts. HOWEVER, your account has to be created manually first. Once your account is created, you can sign in using the Google or Microsoft button if applicable.
- Once you create your account, it can be used to log into the PTC Wizard pages for other WRSD schools if you have children in more than one school.
- You will be prompted to enter your child’s Student ID Number
- This can be always found in PowerSchool under “Student IDs and Passwords”
- Once you’ve successfully logged in, PTC Wizard helper prompts will provide additional instructions.
Additional conference details can be found by following this link: 2026 Parent-Teacher Conferences
Scheduling will close at 12:00 noon on the day before your child’s school holds its first conference. Because conference dates vary by school, the scheduling deadline will also vary by school.
Parent-teacher conferences are designed to be brief but meaningful conversations that provide families and educators an opportunity to connect, discuss student progress, celebrate successes, and identify ways we can continue to support learning throughout the school year.
We look forward to welcoming our families to conferences.
😁There is so much fun (and learning) happening in the STEAM classroom. Read this update from Ms. Nowd: As part of their module about "Earth's water and interconnected systems" the 5th graders have created terrariums. These are a fun way to observe and discuss the interactions between the four major spheres as well as witness the water cycle at work! Everyone is doing very well and get quite excited to see the growth of their plant babies every class!
👉A note from the PTA:
- All participating students get entered to win a randomly selected prize - one per grade!
- If your student sells 15 calendars, they earn a TPS sweatshirt!
- Top individual sellers and top classrooms all win prizes.
- The whole school is working together to sell enough calendars so Mrs. DiFonso and the admin team have to complete some silly tasks!
Have a great weekend!
